Sadie's First Play Date

Sadie & I just returned home from her first play date! There is a volunteer with American Brittany Rescue who lives about 20 minutes from me. Regina has two Golden Retrievers (Jack & Megan) AND a fenced backyard. Sadie & I spent about three hours at Regina's and Sadie behaved VERY well. Sadie LOVED exploring the backyard and especially enjoyed all the birds. She spent most of the three hours just walking around sniffing everything and then running after birds who took flight; she even pointed nicely a couple of times, too. Sadie was also very well-behaved with Jack & Megan - who are older dogs. Sadie wasn't at all obnoxious with them; it's like she knew she needed to be gentler with them because they were older. The next door neighbor had a German Shepherd who is a fence-fighter and Sadie even came to me when I called her away from the fence...the first time I called! What a great way to start a long weekend. I'm so thankful Regina invited us over.
